Qualifications

• Prior leadership of a nonprofit organization or program.
• Experience overseeing budgets and staffing.
• Strong collaboration with partners and community.
• Proven fundraising and donor relations skills.
• Must pass criminal background check and have valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and ensure excellence in daily operations, programs and fundraising.
• Oversees strategic direction, planning and evaluation.
• Ensures accurate and timely accounting of all organizational resources and manages the annual budget.
• Oversees reporting to the Board of Directors and ensures alignment with organizational policies.
• Delegates strategic leadership to program directors, including staff training.
• Maintains positive relationships with MVCD’s grantors, partners and the public.
• Increase funding opportunities through donor relations, foundations, and government grants.
• Ensure grants meet internal standards of efficiency, compliance and funding distributions.
• Develop policies and procedures for program success.
• Advocate for policy change and program partnerships at various levels.
• Serve as the organization’s primary media spokesperson.
