Job summary

YMCA Mountain View seeks an Associate Executive Director to supervise daily operations and lead the branch toward strategic goals. You will drive intentional programming with a focus on member engagement, staff development, and annual campaigns.

The role requires collaborating across teams, managing budgets, and reporting to the Branch Board while expanding community relations and fundraising efforts.

Qualifications

• 5 years' leadership experience.
• Strong organization, planning, and follow through skills.
• Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal. Bilingual a plus.
• Demonstrated expertise as a strategic leader with strong problem-solving abilities and ability to influence change.
• Experience facilitating meetings and presenting to a group.
• Solid skills with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, hires, coaches Healthy Living staff, Program Directors, and other indirect staff regularly; develops strategies to retain staff.
• Lead member involvement and relationship-building strategies to increase participation, enrollment, and volunteerism.
• Provide and grow high-quality, innovative programming meeting member and community needs and attracting donors.
• Assist with the annual campaign; programming, administrative tasks, recruiting volunteers, etc.
• Assist Directors/Coordinators with branch budgets and maintain budget goals; recommend adjustments to meet targets.
• Participate in committees developing policy in program, property, marketing and member service.
• Interpret and communicate branch objectives and programs to the community.
• Develop and prepare reports for staff, committees and Branch Board.
