Job summary

Loudoun County Government seeks an experienced executive to serve as Director of Family Services. This role leads the county's comprehensive human services agency, guiding programs spanning child and adult protective services, clinical coordination, and emergency assistance.

The Director will oversee strategic planning, fiscal stewardship, and regulatory compliance, directing an executive leadership team and serving as liaison to advisory bodies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Public Administration or related field plus directly related supervisory/management experience.
• Preferred: local government experience and leadership of family services or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for Loudoun County's Family Services department.
• Oversee budget development and fiscal stewardship in alignment with regulations and funding requirements.
• Lead an executive leadership team with deputy/assistant directors to deliver high-quality services.
• Serve as liaison to the Family Services Advisory Board and the Community Policy and Management Team.
• Collaborate with county leadership and partners to advance social services priorities.
