Job summary

Houston Community College is seeking an Executive Director of Maintenance and Auxiliary Services in Houston, TX to provide strategic leadership for facilities engineering and maintenance programs. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management is required.
• 7 years combined experience in operations, maintenance, or construction management of large facilities, including 5 years as senior manager.
• Experience in Higher Education Facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a complete program of facilities equipment and maintenance to preserve capital assets, reduce down-time and operating costs while ensuring safe operations for students, faculty, and staff.
• Maintain, document and coordinate schedules and maintenance records, projects, personnel, and activities.
• Oversee administration of external service contracts with equipment vendors and service providers.
• Interface with Executive Leadership, Campus C-teams, internal clients, vendors, contractors, and consultants, facilitating engineering and maintenance operations.
• Oversee the mail and distribution process across the HCC System with a team of experienced personnel.
• Oversee the operation of conference services for the District office with a team of experienced personnel.
• Manage and participate in the planning and administration of the department budget.
