Job summary

Dallas College seeks an Assistant Vice Chancellor, Enterprise Data Architecture and Reporting, to lead enterprise data warehousing, governance, and official reporting. You will guide data strategy, standards, and AI-enabled modernization across the institution, partnering with IT and analytic teams.

The role emphasizes regulatory reporting, data quality, and leadership of diverse professionals to advance student success and institutional accountability.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in information systems, data science, analytics, or related field.
• Eight years of progressive experience in data warehousing, data engineering, governance, or official reporting.
• Five years of leadership experience managing teams.
• Direct experience with state/federal higher education reporting; Texas experience preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python; experience with modern data platforms and ETL/ELT.
• Experience implementing data governance, metadata, lineage, stewardship, and data quality practices.
• Experience using AI and automation responsibly to enhance data engineering and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an enterprise data strategy and multi-year roadmap for warehousing, governance, and reporting.
• Establish operating standards, performance measures, and decision rights for data functions.
• Oversee architecture, development, and reliability of the enterprise data warehouse and pipelines.
• Ensure data ingestion, transformation, modeling, testing, and documentation are accurate and scalable.
• Lead data governance, stewardship networks, and policy implementation.
