Job summary

Health First is seeking a Director of Emergency Services for its Holmes Regional Medical Center (HRMC) Tertiary Hospital ED in Melbourne, FL. You will provide strategic leadership over clinical, financial, and operational aspects of the Emergency Department to ensure high-quality patient care and service line growth.

The role requires a Master’s degree (MSN) or equivalent in Nursing or Healthcare Administration, RN licensure in Florida, and 4 years of nursing leadership plus 2 years in emergency

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Florida required.
• BSN or higher preferred with leadership experience in emergency services.

Responsibilities

• Identifies opportunities for improvement impacting the service line and implements solutions with follow-through and communication.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates the emergency services program to assure patient quality, experience and safety.
• Delivers initiatives to ensure service line delivery of operational excellence and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Oversees development of processes to measure and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Supports in decision-making related to clinical policies and nursing goals.
• Keeps current on industry trends and incorporates initiatives as needed.
• Monitors compliance with Health First policies and regulatory requirements.
• Prepares and delivers leadership reports on goals, finance, clinical activity, quality and safety.
• Participates in IDN committees to provide stakeholder communication.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to improve access to care and education.
