Job summary

HCA Florida Lake City Hospital is seeking a Director of Emergency Services to lead the ED operations, drive patient-centered care, and manage staffing, budgeting, and quality initiatives across the department.

The successful candidate will develop strategies to improve throughput, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to sustain high levels of service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing Required
• Master's Degree Preferred
• 3+ years applicable experience Required
• 5+ years applicable experience Preferred

Responsibilities

• Cultivates a superior clinical identity by identifying and implementing evidence-based practices to advance patient safety and quality outcomes.
• Manages variation in clinical practice to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and cost.
• Stays abreast of benchmarks, accreditations, and designations and pursues improvement efforts.
• Develops and implements policies, procedures, and practices in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Ensures equipment maintenance per standards.
• Ensures efficient patient throughput and high-quality care through forecasting and planning.
• Develops care coordination policies to improve safety and efficiency; assigns staff with appropriate competencies.
• Directs nursing practice and unit operations and develops nursing standards.

Education

Bachelor's degree in nursing

Master's Degree Preferred
