Job summary

City of New York's Police Department seeks an Executive Director of the Office of Equal Employment Opportunity (OEEO) to lead investigations, accommodations, and training, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws.

You will supervise the OEEO Directors, shape policy, analyze trends, deliver reports to senior leadership, and promote an inclusive workplace culture across the agency.

Qualifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar in good standing.
• Four years of recent full-time legal experience after bar admission, including 18 months supervising attorneys.

Responsibilities

• Review and update EEO policies in line with laws and city policies.
• Conduct root cause and trend analysis of EEO data.
• Advise agency leadership on EEO matters and resolutions.
• Prepare quarterly EEO reports for DCAS, City Council and EEPC.
• Oversee internal EEO investigations and draft investigative reports.
• Provide policy guidance on equitable employment practices.
