The City of New York's Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) invites applications for the Deputy Director for Investigations and Compliance within Citywide Equity and Inclusion (CEI). The role leads intake, investigations, and policy guidance across agencies to enforce EEO non-discrimination standards.

Reporting to the Executive Director, you will supervise attorneys and CEI staff, develop enforcement strategies, and ensure timely, well-documented findings. Residency not required.

Competenze

• Admission to the New York State Bar with four years of relevant legal experience after admission.
• At least 18 months supervising other attorneys in administrative, managerial, or executive capacity.

Mansioni

• Managing the intake process for EEO complaints, including assessments to determine CEI's jurisdiction and whether the complaint should be investigated or forwarded to another agency.
• Conducting and overseeing third‑party investigations into complaints of discrimination and harassment in the workplace.
• Coordinating with the Executive Director to assign investigations to attorneys and provide guidance on investigative strategies.
• Drafting and reviewing well‑written and well‑reasoned investigative reports with findings aligned to EEO Policy.
• Managing relationships with agency EEO personnel and guidance on interpretation of EEO Policy and accommodations.
