Job summary

Indiana University Foundation is seeking an Executive Director of Development to lead a comprehensive advancement program for the Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs across Bloomington and Indianapolis.

You will drive major and annual giving, alumni engagement, and stewardship, reporting to the AVP of Development with a dual line to the Dean. You will raise funds for two campuses with a unified team, directing gift conversations and aligning donor passions with IU

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in fundraising or relevant experience in a complex organization, including major gift work.
• Previous supervisory experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategic direction for a comprehensive advancement program, including major and annual gifts, corporate and foundation relations, planned giving, alumni engagement, and stewardship.
• Report to the Associate Vice President of Development with dual reporting to the Dean; drive momentum for the Never Daunted campaign.
• Raise funds for one school across two campuses with a single team and determine time distribution between campuses in consultation with the Dean.
• Lead donor conversations and connect donors’ passions to IU priorities, including scholarships and experiential learning.
• Partner with the Dean and school leaders in Bloomington and Indianapolis to guide programs and scholarships; collaborate across advancement disciplines.
