Job summary

GardaWorld Federal Services is seeking an experienced transportation leader to oversee a large-scale detention transportation program in Texas. You will manage fleet operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate with government partners across multiple jurisdictions.

The role requires extensive experience managing detainee transport operations, maintaining safety and security, and delivering mission-critical results in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive transportation operations experience, with at least 5+ years in a director- or senior-manager-level role.
• Minimum 5+ years direct experience in detention, correctional, or law enforcement transportation operations.
• Experience managing a large fleet (50+ vehicles) and leading transportation staff (75+ personnel).
• Experience managing an operating budget of $5M+ annually.
• Experience across multiple facilities, states, or regions (3+).
• Extensive knowledge of detention transportation operations and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee large-scale detention transportation operations across multiple facilities and locations.
• Oversee dispatch and transportation coordination to ensure safety, security, and timely movements.
• Develop and enforce chain-of-custody, manifest documentation, and detainee accountability protocols.
• Establish staff protocols for detainee handling, including special populations and medical needs.
• Oversee fleet management, preventive maintenance, and vehicle readiness standards.
• Ensure compliance with DOT/FMCSA, HOS, and related regulatory requirements.
• Lead staffing plans, shift scheduling, and 24/7 operations readiness.
• Manage budgets, KPIs, and performance reporting for compliance and efficiency.
