UVA Health University Medical Center is seeking a Director of Corporate Communications to lead enterprise‑wide initiatives that elevate our brand, bolster executive thought leadership, and increase national visibility for one of the nation's premier academic health systems.

The role reports to senior leadership, partners with UVA Health, the UVA School of Medicine, and the Manning Institute, and guides crisis and issues communications while developing a growing team in a hybrid Charlottesville

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
• 3+ years of formal managerial experience.

Mansioni

• Lead enterprise communications strategies to strengthen brand and stakeholder engagement.
• Advise senior executives on vision, priorities, and thought leadership.
• Direct media relations to increase regional and national visibility for UVA Health and affiliated institutes.
• Develop high‑impact content across print, digital, video, and live events.
• Coach and grow a communications team of four direct reports.
• Partner with leaders across marketing, operations, clinical services, legal, finance, and education.
• Measure effectiveness and provide strategic insights for leadership decisions.
