Job summary
BDO USA is seeking a Director to lead Valuation & Capital Markets Analytics for Complex Financial Instruments. The role drives challenging engagements from proposal to delivery, with emphasis on strategic growth, business development, and staff leadership within the VCMA practice.
The Director will oversee client engagements, develop methodologies, and advance market-facing solutions in complex instruments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics preferred
- Master’s in Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics preferred
- Twelve+ years in valuation within a professional services or financial firm
- Experience with valuation of complex financial instruments or derivatives
- Experience with financial reporting valuation and appraisal review
- Valuation credentials preferred (CFA, FRM, QRM, ASA)
- Proficiency in MS Office; Capital IQ and Bloomberg preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead office business development for valuation services
- Build relationships with executives and stakeholders to grow client base
- Develop market strategy, proposals, pricing, and pursuit strategies
- Oversee end-to-end client engagements and manage project teams
- Contribute to methodology development and thought leadership
- Mentor and develop VCMA staff and future leaders
- Travel with some international assignments as needed
