Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal, a premier global professional services firm, seeks a Director, Valuation Services – Complex Financial Instruments, to lead a team valuing equity compensation, complex securities, and related assets. You will manage projects end-to-end, determine methodologies, oversee reports, and serve as the primary client contact.

You will supervise Associates and Senior Associates, develop reports, and present conclusions to clients while collaborating with Managing Directors on practice

Qualifications

• 7+ years of valuations and modeling experience at a Big 4, investment bank, or independent valuation firm.
• Experience conducting financial analyses and modeling for complex financial instruments and securities.
• Strong educational background in Finance/Quantitative fields and solid academic record.
• Advanced knowledge of financial statements and valuation methodologies (Monte Carlo, lattice models).
• Demonstrated client relationship management skills and project leadership.
• Proficiency with financial programming tools and Capital IQ.
• Strong writing and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end project management and execution of valuation projects (planning, resourcing, organizing, reviewing).
• Oversee financial analysis on valuation of complex securities and instruments.
• Develop narrative reports describing methodologies, assumptions, rationale, and findings.
• Lead, train, and manage Associates on valuation and tax reporting teams.
• Act as client liaison on engagements and coordinate with internal staff.
• Determine methodologies in conjunction with leadership; support due diligence.
• Present valuation conclusions to clients and address questions.
