Job summary

Russell: A Place of Promise (RPOP) seeks an inaugural Executive Director to transform a resident-led vision into action in Louisville, KY. You will lead fundraising, partnerships, and organizational growth while centering Black wealth and community ownership.

The role reports to the Board of Directors, builds the first permanent team, and shapes long-term strategies for affordable housing, community development, and sustainable impact.

Qualifications

• Experience leading nonprofit fundraising and resource development.
• Ability to translate a resident-led vision into actionable strategy.
• Familiarity with housing, real estate, or community development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive the implementation of the strategic plan and measure progress.
• Lead fund development, cultivate donors, and diversify revenue.
• Build and manage staff, consultants, and partnerships.
• Strengthen resident leadership and governance in partnership with the Board.
