Russell: A Place of Promise (RPOP) in Louisville, KY seeks an inaugural Executive Director to translate a resident-led vision into action, building the resources, relationships, and organizational foundation for Black wealth and community ownership in Russell.

The role leads fundraising, governance, and strategic growth, guiding two major development projects and ensuring financial stewardship, compliance, and sustainable operations for years to come.

Qualifications

• Experience in fundraising, securing resources from diverse funders.
• Ability to translate vision into compelling funding cases.
• Familiarity with housing, real estate, and community development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of the strategic plan and adapt to Russell’s evolving needs.
• Grow diverse revenue streams beyond grants to ensure sustainability.
• Oversee governance, financial management, and compliance for a growing 501(c)(3).
• Build and lead a high-performing team and external partnerships to advance resident-led wealth building.
