Job summary

Girls on the Run Memphis Council seeks an Executive Director to lead strategic direction, fundraising and program growth while partnering with schools, nonprofits and families. The role blends leadership with hands-on execution to expand access and measure impact.

The ED will manage staff and volunteers, cultivate sponsors, and oversee events such as the season-end 5k, focusing on youth empowerment and inclusive community engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a nonprofit or similarly sized organization.
• Proven fundraising, grant writing, budgeting and forecasting experience.
• Passion for the Girls on the Run mission and youth empowerment.
• Commitment to inclusion, diversity, equity, and access.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and leadership of the overall program.
• Develop a growth plan to increase access and diversify communities served.
• Maintain strong Board relationships and plan infrastructure growth.
• Support GOTR programming and recruit/onboard a program staff member.
• Develop a sustainable revenue plan with a focus on grants and donor development.
• Sustain sponsorship relationships with local, corporate and national partners.
• Lead staff and volunteer development and coach recruitment.
• Oversee events and community engagement activities.
