Job summary

Wasat Community seeks an Executive Director to co-lead the organization with the Resident Scholar. This full-time, hybrid role is based in or near Seattle, WA, and offers a salary of $85,000–$95,000 annually.

The ED leads organizational management, fundraising, board relations, and partnerships, while guiding program development and staff growth. Requires nonprofit leadership experience, budgeting ability, and alignment with Wasat's mission of exploring the American-Muslim experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3–5 years nonprofit or grassroots leadership experience.
• Experience hiring, leading, and developing staff or volunteers.
• Budgeting and cash-flow management in small budgets.

Responsibilities

• Hire, onboard, and evaluate staff and volunteers; build a healthy culture.
• Oversee program development and alignment with mission; foster partnerships in Seattle area.
• Design and implement annual fundraising strategy; lead grant work and donor relations.
