Job summary

Edmonds Center for the Arts in Edmonds, WA seeks an Executive Director to guide strategy, finances, and campus growth. You will lead a team across finance, development, programming, and marketing while serving as the primary liaison to two boards and the wider community.

The role requires a proven nonprofit leader with governance experience, strong budget management, and a collaborative, equity-focused leadership style. A hybrid work environment is offered with periodic travel and evening events.

Qualifications

  • Experience as an Executive Director or C-suite in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
  • Strong financial and business acumen with budgeting and financial systems experience.
  • Experience reporting to nonprofit or public boards, especially with multiple governing bodies.
  • Familiarity with public sector rules and open meetings/public records requirements.
  • Commitment to equity leadership and community engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the organization with two boards (PFD Board and ECA Board) toward strategy, finances, and campus future.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations with senior staff across finance, development, programming, and marketing.
  • Represent ECA to donors, government partners, and the broader community.
  • Present budgets and plans to City Council and stakeholders; manage capital and facility projects.
  • Foster a culture of equity, inclusion, and trust while guiding growth and change.
