Job summary

Jewish Cemeteries of Greater Cincinnati seeks an Executive Director to lead the organization, oversee cemeteries, finances, and community relations, while serving as the public face of the nonprofit.

The role partners with the Board of Trustees to translate mission and strategic priorities into day-to-day operations, ensuring professional, compassionate service to families and congregations within Cincinnati’s Jewish community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit or related field.
• Five+ years of leadership/management in nonprofit or community organization.
• Experience in fundraising, donor cultivation or grant development preferred.
• Understanding of Jewish values, traditions, and communal life.
• Demonstrated budgeting, financial management, and operational oversight.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the organization.
• Advise the Board on long-term planning and develop annual plans.
• Facilitate Board meetings and participate in committees and events.
• Manage cemetery operations, staff, facilities, and donor relations with empathy.
• Oversee annual budget and financial resources, ensuring compliance with regulations.
