Job summary

Jewish Cemeteries of Greater Cincinnati seeks an Executive Director to provide strategic and operational leadership for the organization, guiding cemetery operations, budgeting, fundraising, and community relations.

You will work with the Board to develop plans, oversee staff, and engage with donors and families, including evening events. A commitment to Jewish values and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Five or more years in a nonprofit or community organization or similar environment.
• Fundraising experience preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated understanding of Jewish values and community life aligned with JCGC’s mission.
• Experience in staff management, budgeting, financial oversight, and operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and donor CRM systems.
• Strong leadership and project management skills with independent work style.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with empathy and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the organization.
• Advise the Board on long-term planning and annual programs.
• Facilitate Board meetings and participate in committees.
• Engage with congregations, donors, and community partners.
