Job summary

Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. seeks a Senior Director of Commercial Strategic Sourcing to define and execute the company’s sourcing vision across media planning and buying, agencies, trade shows, market research, patient support programs, promotional services, and other Commercial spend categories.

You will lead a global team, serve as the senior procurement partner to the ELT and Commercial leadership, and drive value creation through strategic sourcing, supplier innovation, and risk

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in Commercial Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Category Management, or Supply Chain leadership roles.
• Deep expertise in pharmaceutical Commercial sourcing categories.
• Proven track record of developing and executing enterprise category strategies that deliver measurable value.
• Demonstrated success leading large-scale sourcing initiatives and negotiating complex, high-value commercial agreements.
• Experience building and leading high-performing sourcing teams within matrixed global organizations.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical commercialization, regulatory requirements, and supplier risk management.

Responsibilities

• Establish and execute a forward-looking Commercial Strategic Sourcing vision aligned with corporate objectives.
• Lead enterprise-wide category management strategies across all assigned spend categories.
• Foster executive-level relationships with strategic suppliers and drive supplier innovation.
• Own and enhance Strategic Sourcing policies, frameworks, and governance practices.
• Lead and oversee the sourcing pipeline, RFx strategies, negotiations, and contract execution.
