Job summary

Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd seeks a Senior Director, Commercial Strategic Sourcing to lead enterprise category strategies across Media Planning & Buying, Marketing Agencies, Trade Shows, Market Research, Patient Support Programs, and Promotional Services.

You will partner with the ELT, Commercial leadership, Finance, and FP&A to maximize value, ensure governance, and deliver measurable savings while mitigating risk through strong supplier relationships and program governance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Commercial Strategic Sourcing or related leadership roles.
• Deep expertise in pharmaceutical Commercial sourcing categories: media planning/buying, marketing agencies, market research, patient support services, promotional programs, meetings and events.
• Proven track record of delivering enterprise savings and strategic value.
• Experience leading large-scale sourcing initiatives in global organizations.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and supplier risk management.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute enterprise category strategies for Commercial spend.
• Lead sourcing across media, agencies, events, research, patient programs, and promotional services.
• Negotiate high-value contracts and manage supplier relationships at executive level.
• Develop governance, compliance, and performance metrics for sourcing.
• Partner with ELT, Finance, and FP&A to align investments with business plans.
