Job summary

Madrigal is seeking a senior chemical engineering leader to set scale-up standards, ensure safety, and drive process development for GMP manufacturing and tech transfer. You will partner with DS/DP teams and external manufacturers to optimize yield, throughput, and cycle times while ensuring documentation supports validation readiness and audit expectations.

The role also involves mentoring teams and aligning with quality and regulatory requirements to advance scalable, safe manufacturing

Qualifications

• BS+ in Chemical Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
• 18+ years in process/chemical engineering for GMP manufacturing/tech transfer.
• Demonstrated leadership in scale-up, safety, and external manufacturing collaboration.
• Strong cross-functional influence and structured problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Set engineering standards for scale-up readiness, safety, and process/equipment fit.
• Support DS/DP teams in defining scalable process parameters and operating ranges.
• Lead engineering input to tech transfer, process safety reviews, and risk assessments.
• Drive yield/throughput/cycle-time improvement opportunities with external partners.
• Ensure engineering documentation supports validation readiness and audit expectations.
