YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles is seeking an executive leader to oversee a YMCA Center in Los Angeles. The role emphasizes directing membership, programs, facilities, fundraising, and community relations to advance the Center's mission.

The position requires 10+ years in executive management within a YMCA or nonprofit setting, strong skills in budgeting and donor development, and a commitment to the Y's cause-driven leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, business or equivalent.
• Ten or more years of executive management experience in multi-site operations, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency.
• Experience securing large-scale capital development donations for multi-year building projects or facility renovations.
• Proven track record of managing budgets or revenue portfolios of $8 million or more.
• Experience in management and development of volunteer involvement.
• YMCA multi-team or center leader certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Oversees the total operation of a YMCA Center, including membership, marketing, programs, facilities, volunteer and staff development, financial development, community relations and collaborations with community agencies.
• Establish and implement an annual operating plan with goals, timelines and expected results.
• Operate the facility and all program activities, manage daily operations and ensure programs run smoothly.
• Address under-performing areas by organizing task forces as necessary.
• Represent and promote the YMCA in the local community and develop relationships with other organizations and government entities.
• Direct the financial development activities of the Center and achieve fundraising goals.
• Develop and support a year-round fundraising program including campaigns, donor acquisition, stewardship, events, and capital gifts.
• Support major donor cultivation and capital development planning to maintain facilities and endowment needs.
• Lead center budgeting, strategic planning, and ensure management has development plans and funding for training.
• Develop and direct board relationships, ensure board alignment with the strategic plan, and monitor progress toward goals.
• Ensure staff leadership across committees and foster ongoing evaluation of effectiveness and performance.
• Foster innovation for member-focused programs aligned with the Y mission and maintain safe, high-quality facilities.
