Job summary

MemorialCare Long Beach is seeking an Executive Director/Consultant to lead care transitions for Long Beach Medical Center and Miller Children’s and Women’s Hospital, Long Beach. You will direct clinical and administrative operations, implement lean management systems, and oversee quality and performance improvement across inpatient and ambulatory services.

Qualifications

• RN license in California required.
• MSN required.
• DNP preferred.
• NEA-BC certification required.
• 10+ years relevant experience preferred.
• 5+ years leadership experience required.
• Perinatal Services clinical background preferred.
• Experience in union environment and employment management preferred.
• Knowledge of Title 22, Title 24, and JCAHO preferred.
• Knowledge of budgeting principles preferred.
• Knowledge of quality and performance improvement activities preferred.
• Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead care transitions across MemorialCare's Long Beach campuses.
• Oversee clinical and administrative operations, lean management, and continuous improvement.
• Drive throughput, utilization management, authorization, and billing processes.
• Lead Utilization Management Committee and supervise department managers.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with state/federal regulations and accrediting bodies.
• Build partnerships with community organizations to expand programs and resources.
• Foster staff communication and accountability to achieve patient-centered care and outcomes.

Education

Registered Nurse licensed in California

Master's degree in nursing (MSN)

Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)

Board Certification in Advanced Nursing Administration (NEA-BC)
