Job summary

MemorialCare Health System in Long Beach, CA is seeking an Executive Director for the Women’s Service Line. The role directs planning, management and evaluation of patient care within Nursing, ensuring cost-effective, high-quality services across the continuum of care.

The Executive Director leads management and clinical teams, oversees HR, physician relations, practice development, quality improvement, strategic planning and fiscal oversight, driving a multidisciplinary family-centered care

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' relevant experience preferred.
• Minimum 5 years' leadership experience required.
• Clinical background in Perinatal Services preferred.
• Experience in union environment and employment management practices preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements including Title 22, Title 24 and JCAHO preferred.
• Knowledge of accounting and budgeting principles preferred.
• Knowledge of quality and performance improvement activities preferred.
• Knowledge of word processing application programs, spread sheets preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and evaluate patient care services within the Division of Nursing.
• Provide leadership to the management and clinical teams responsible for delivering Women’s Services across the continuum of care.
• Oversee the daily operations of Women’s Services, including human resource management, physician relations, practice development, quality improvement, strategic planning, and fiscal oversight across the continuum of care.
• A multidisciplinary, patient- and family-centered approach is utilized to integrate functional operations and ensure the delivery of coordinated, high-quality services throughout Women’s Services.
