Job summary

MemorialCare Health System in Long Beach, CA is seeking an Executive Director for the Women’s Service Line to plan, manage and evaluate patient care within the Division of Nursing, ensuring cost-effective, high-quality services across Women’s Services.

The Executive Director provides leadership to the management and clinical teams delivering Women’s Services, including human resources, physician relations, practice development, quality improvement, strategic planning and fiscal oversight.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' relevant experience with 5+ years in leadership.
• Clinical background in Perinatal Services preferred.
• Experience in union environment and employment practices preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements including Title 22, Title 24 and JCAHO preferred.
• Knowledge of accounting and budgeting principles preferred.
• Knowledge of quality and performance improvement activities preferred.
• Knowledge of word processing application programs and spreadsheets preferred.

• Plan, manage and evaluate patient care services within the Division of Nursing.
• Provide leadership to management and clinical teams delivering Women’s Services across continuum.
• Oversee HR management, physician relations, practice development, quality improvement, and fiscal oversight.
