Job summary

Long Beach Memorial Medical Center in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Director of PeriAnesthesia to lead four locations and Interventional Radiology/Special Procedures. You will ensure high quality patient care, manage finances, and drive strategic initiatives.

The role requires a RN with MSN and executive leadership experience, working a day shift in a full-time capacity within MemorialCare Health System’s Surgery Pre-Admit, Pre-Op/Hold department.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years clinical background in perianesthesia.
• Minimum of 3 years hospital management in tertiary care.
• Experience in a union environment preferred.
• Knowledge of Title 22, Title 24 and JCAHO regulations.
• Budgeting and accounting principles knowledge.
• Lean/process improvement familiarity preferred.
• Proficient with word processing and spreadsheets.
• 3-5 years nursing management in relevant area.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour oversight of Peri-Anesthesia and Interventional Radiology.
• Lead department goals, staffing, budget and policy formation.
• Coordinate care with physicians, managers and administrators.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality outcomes.
