Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with relevant program management experience.
• Experience in workforce development and higher education preferred.
• Proven ability to develop partnerships with business, industry and government.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience with grant solicitation, implementation, management and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Department of Business Relations, including goals and performance metrics.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop departmental staff while fostering collaboration and excellence in external partnership management.
• Develop, cultivate, and maintain relationships with business leaders, chambers of commerce, workforce organizations, and community partners.
• Lead efforts to expand apprenticeship, internship, contract training, and customized workforce partnerships.
• Assess program effectiveness through data analysis, ROI evaluations, market assessments, and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with college departments to align workforce training with industry needs.
• Serve as the college's primary liaison with workforce and economic development partners (e.g., Apprenticeship Carolina, readySC, retrainSC).
• Support grant development and management for workforce and economic development initiatives.
• Represent the college in professional organizations, conferences, and community engagement activities.
• Assist leadership with advocacy with business leaders and officials while managing budgets and compliance.
• Travel and occasional evening extended hours may be required.
