Job summary

Kaddatz Galleries in Fergus Falls seeks an Executive Director to advance partnerships, lead financial and fundraising efforts, and guide marketing, community and partner relationships. The role oversees budgets, staff supervision, gift gallery operations, and major fundraising initiatives, reporting to the Board.

The ED will shape strategic direction, support education initiatives, and ensure financial stability and artistic advancement within the gallery network of Otter Tail County.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years equivalent work experience.
• Skilled in financial management, including budget management and financial reporting.
• Demonstrated ability in raising funds and building strong relationships with donors, sponsors, grant makers and others.
• Excellent organizational skills, multitask, and adapt to changing operational environment.
• Demonstrated ability in administration and direct supervision of employees/others.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Track record as a leader in producing artistic events and activities in community.
• Computer proficiency with Mac OS, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Square commerce, Canva and Givebutter.

Responsibilities

• Oversee finances, budgeting and financial reporting for the organization.
• Lead fundraising efforts, donor relations, and grant compliance.
• Develop and manage marketing, communications and website activities.
• Cultivate community and partner relationships; represent the organization externally.
• Supervise gallery staff and contractors; ensure DEI and accessibility practices.
• Coordinate gift gallery operations, inventory and contracts.
• Plan and execute events, including donor events and community programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Board.
