Job summary

Placer Artists Tour seeks an Executive Director to lead the organization, collaborating with the board, staff, contractors and volunteers to advance its mission and financial objectives.

The ED will oversee strategic planning, fundraising, event production, and community partnerships to ensure sustainable programs and impact, with responsibilities including budget development, grant administration, and staff development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience working in a nonprofit organization or leadership role.
• Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience engaging diverse stakeholders including artists, galleries, businesses, foundations and local government.
• Proficient in technology and organizational platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in developing programs, organizational and financial plans with the Board, contractors and staff.
• Cultivate strong relationships with Board, staff and contractors for open communication on performance against goals.
• Represent the organization to community, organizations, businesses and the public.
• Build strategic partnerships, identify opportunities to promote the mission.
• Develop annual budget with Board Treasurer.
• Research grant opportunities and manage reporting requirements.
• Encourage staff and volunteer development and align work with organizational goals.
• Attend meetings and provide timely reports to the Board.
