Job summary

Chase is seeking an AI/ML Executive Director within Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) Recommendations & Personalization to lead the design and delivery of large-scale recommendation, ranking, and personalization systems powering customer experiences across CCB digital channels.

You will drive strategy across search/retrieval and NLP signals, experimentation, measurement, and production ML—leveraging GenAI where it meaningfully improves relevance and outcomes.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science or equivalent with strong ML/recommender background.
• Experience leading large-scale production ML systems and ML engineers.
• Proven people leadership and stakeholder influencing.
• Excellent communication and ability to translate business goals into ML outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve CCB recommendation and personalization platforms to improve relevance.
• Lead end-to-end ML delivery: problem framing, evaluation, and deployment.
• Develop evaluation frameworks for ranking and personalization.
• Apply NLP and retrieval techniques to enrich signals.
• Use GenAI to augment the stack with governance and risk controls.
• Build and lead a high-performing applied science team.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align goals and roadmaps.
• Contribute to architecture for low-latency services and training infrastructure.
• Promote rigor and knowledge sharing in the org.
