Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking an AI/ML Executive Director in the Consumer & Community Banking Recommendations & Personalization group to lead large-scale recommender, ranking, and personalization systems powering customer experiences across CCB digital channels.

You will drive strategy across search, NLP signals, experimentation, and production ML, leveraging GenAI where it adds value, while building a high-performing applied science and ML engineering team.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science (or equivalent) with deep ML/recommender systems.
• 10+ years of hands-on programming and system-building experience (PhD + industry).
• Proven ability to lead and deliver large-scale production ML systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including influencing senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve CCB recommendation & personalization platforms to improve relevance and engagement.
• Lead end-to-end ML delivery: framing, features, model development, evaluation, and launch.
• Develop evaluation frameworks for ranking and personalization (relevance, diversity, bias).
• Apply NLP and search techniques to enrich signals for better recommendations.
• Use GenAI to augment the stack with controls and governance.
• Build and lead a high-performing team of applied scientists and ML engineers.
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Design, Data, Risk/Controls, and Engineering.
• Be hands-on: contribute to architecture and low-latency services.
• Promote rigor and learning with modern recommendation methods and strong documentation.
