Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a visionary Executive Director to build and operate the on-premises AI compute platform, including GPU clusters, storage, and networking. You will own the physical and platform layers, define the operating model, hire the team, and drive long-term reliability and performance for frontier AI workloads.

You will lead a 24/7 operations organization, establish baselines, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and NIST AI RMF while partnering with security and FinOps to optimize costs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years engineering leadership experience in data-center scale infrastructure.
• Hands-on ownership of bare-metal Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Fluency with RoCE v2, InfiniBand, EVPN-VXLAN and related operational discipline.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute long-range strategy for AI infrastructure and platform engineering.
• Recruit, hire, and retain a high-performing engineering organization.
• Establish operating model, standards, and capability for CVS AI infrastructure.
• Lead 24/7 operations, observability, and change management across the stack.
• Drive governance on GPU utilization and FinOps in partnership with Finance.
