Job summary

Labcorp, a global leader in laboratory services, seeks an Executive Director of Architecture & Advanced AI Engineering to join our team in Durham, NC. This role leads enterprise architecture strategy, scalable AI development, and governance across platform, product, and cloud initiatives in a hybrid, full-time capacity.

You will shape AI roadmaps, establish quality and risk controls, and partner with senior leaders to translate business priorities into technical solutions that impact patient

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 15+ years in data, analytics, cloud, platform engineering, AI, or digital transformation with leadership of large-scale initiatives.
• 10+ years in people leadership across multidisciplinary teams, strategy, execution, and budget management.
• 10+ years guiding enterprise data, analytics, AI, cloud transformation in regulated environments.
• 10+ years modernizing large-scale cloud platforms, data ecosystems, and AI/ML capabilities.
• 10+ years partnering with executives to align tech with business priorities.
• 10+ years in data governance, privacy, security, and responsible AI in healthcare or regulated settings.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead enterprise architecture strategy across platforms and AI.
• Build and lead Advanced AI Engineering teams for production AI capabilities.
• Define AI technology roadmaps and translate research into scalable solutions.
• Govern quality, safety, security, and responsible AI across lifecycle.
• Develop observability, testing, and performance monitoring practices.
• Advance cloud-first engineering and DevOps practices.
• Collaborate with leaders to align architecture with enterprise priorities.
• Create architecture standards and playbooks for consistent adoption.
• Influence senior stakeholders and resolve trade-offs.
