Labcorp in Durham, NC seeks an Executive Director to lead High Velocity Engineering Platforms, driving enterprise AI capabilities with scalable architecture, secure governance, and cost efficiency. You will shape platform roadmaps, oversee KPI-driven performance, and partner with senior stakeholders to accelerate business value.

The role requires 15+ years in data/AI transformation, 10+ years leading cross-functional teams, and deep experience with cloud, DevOps, and enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of progressive experience in data, analytics, cloud, technology, platform engineering, AI, or digital transformation.
• 10+ years leading multidisciplinary teams with strategy, execution, and budget responsibility.
• Experience defining enterprise data, analytics, AI, cloud, or technology transformation strategies in large, regulated organizations.
• Proven track record modernizing enterprise-scale cloud platforms and AI/ML capabilities.
• Ability to partner with C-suite stakeholders to align technology with business priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, architecture, and delivery of enterprise AI engineering platforms across the organization.
• Define governance, tooling, CI/CD, and developer experience patterns for reliable technology delivery.
• Advance developer experience with reusable frameworks, SDKs, and workflows.
• Architect APIs, connectors, and integration standards for interoperability.
• Govern AI control planes, including policy, access, model lifecycle, and security controls.
• Establish observability standards with Open Telemetry, SLIs, monitoring, and incident response.
• Enable scalable data science and AI engineering for experimentation and production operations.
• Drive platform roadmaps, investments, and metrics to accelerate business value.
• Collaborate with Technology, Product, Data, Security, Privacy, Legal, and business units to drive adoption and governance.
