Job summary

Labcorp seeks an Executive Director, High Velocity Engineering Platforms, to lead strategy and delivery of enterprise AI engineering platforms. Hybrid work in Durham, NC with travel expectations, reporting to SVP Platforms, AI & High Velocity Engineering.

You will partner across Technology, Product, Data, Security, Privacy, Legal, and business units to accelerate adoption, govern AI controls, and drive measurable business value through scalable AI capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in data, analytics, cloud, technology, platform engineering, AI.
• 10+ years leading multidisciplinary teams, with organizational strategy, execution, and budget responsibility.
• 10+ years defining enterprise data/AI/cloud transformation strategies in large, regulated environments.
• 10+ years leading modernization initiatives involving cloud platforms, data ecosystems, AI/ML, and mission-critical services.
• 10+ years partnering with executive stakeholders to align technology with business priorities.
• 10+ years with data governance, privacy, security, and responsible AI in healthcare or regulated settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, architecture, and delivery of enterprise AI engineering platforms for scalable, secure AI capabilities.
• Define governance for frameworks, tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and developer experience patterns.
• Advance developer experience with reusable frameworks, templates, SDKs, and workflows.
• Lead enterprise integration with APIs, connectors, and interoperability standards.
• Architect AI control plane capabilities including policy, access, model lifecycle, and security controls.
• Establish observability standards with Open Telemetry, SLIs, monitoring, and incident response.
• Enable scalable data science and AI engineering for experimentation, deployment, and production ops.
• Develop AI platform roadmaps with investment priorities and cost transparency.
• Partner with Technology, Product, Data, Security, Privacy, Legal, and business units to drive adoption.
• Provide executive leadership for engineering organizations, budgets, KPIs, and platform strategy.
