Job summary

Great Lakes Inter-Tribal Council Inc. seeks an Executive Director to oversee the Behavioral Health Program at the Adolescent Recovery and Wellness Center (ARWC) in Bowler, Wisconsin. This start-up facility requires a strategic, mission-driven leader to guide clinical and operational efforts.

You will provide oversight for programs, staff development, and regulatory compliance, collaborating with Tribes and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care and sustainable operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Active RN certification/License in Wisconsin.
• Master’s Degree required, or currently in pursuit.
• Minimum 5 to 8+ years of related experience, including regulatory experience.
• American Heart Association issued BLS required.
• Minimum three years’ experience managing a Tribal Health facility.
• Thorough knowledge of Indian Health Service Programs.
• Knowledge of Federal Contracting Regulations and Procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee program development, staff leadership, and integration of behavioral health services within multidisciplinary care models.
• Recruit, hire, mentor, and evaluate behavioral health staff for the facility.
• Maintain hospital contracts and manage patient care administration in coordination with clients.
• Ensure compliance with clinical standards, regulations, and accreditation requirements.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and strategic planning across behavioral health services.
• Collaborate with Tribal Health Centers to ensure staffing adequacy across sites.
• Represent the organization in community, professional, and regulatory settings.
