Job summary

Better Living is seeking an experienced operations leader to oversee the daily operations of an assisted living community, ensuring programs align with our mission to provide comfort, connection, and dignity to every resident.

You will lead department heads, ensure compliance with regulations, manage staffing, budgeting, and occupancy goals, and foster a positive workplace culture that supports staff development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall operations of the facility, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and local regulations
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all residents by upholding the highest standards of care and service
• Supervise and support department leaders to ensure effective, coordinated service delivery
• Recruit, hire, train, and retain qualified staff; promote a positive and productive workplace culture
• Oversee financial operations including budgeting, billing, payroll, and expense management; meet occupancy and revenue goals
• Build strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and the surrounding community
• Lead quality assurance and improvement initiatives; respond to and resolve resident concerns and complaints promptly and effectively
• Participate in marketing and community outreach to maintain strong census levels and promote the facility’s reputation
• Maintain documentation and reporting in accordance with state licensing and audit requirements
