Executive Director – Redwood Coast Regional Center (RCRC)

RCRC is seeking a compassionate, experienced leader to serve as its next Executive Director. This at-will position reports to a volunteer Board of Directors and oversees services for nearly 5,000 individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities across Mendocino, Lake, Humboldt, and Del Norte counties. RCRC operates under a $253 million contract with the California Department of Developmental Services and employs a dedicated staff of 175.

About RCRC

One of California’s 21 regional centers, RCRC is a private nonprofit providing lifelong services and support to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. The Executive Director may be based in Ukiah or Eureka.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership through five departmental directors.
  • Advise and support the Board of Directors in setting and implementing policies.
  • Maintain strong relationships with state agencies, partner organizations, and community stakeholders.
  • Ensure high-quality, person-centered services across a large rural region.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in social services or a related field, including 5 years in executive management.
  • Master’s degree in Business, Public or Healthcare Administration, Human Services, Education, or related field (PhD preferred).
  • Experience with developmental disabilities services and knowledge of the Lanterman Act strongly desired.
  • Extensive travel required across the four-county service area.
