Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Desktop Support & AV Engineer to provide end-user computing and AV support onsite in Montpelier, VT. The role includes VIP user support, PowerShell automation, and proactive monitoring with Nexthink, alongside incident management in ServiceNow.

Candidates should have 6–8 years of experience, Windows and Mac OS proficiency, and strong networking knowledge. This onsite position offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 6-8 years of hands-on desk-side support or EUC.
• Strong Windows and Mac OS support.
• Experience with conference room and AV tech.
• PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
• Experience with OHP devices and presentation tech.
• Solid networking fundamentals knowledge.
• Experience using ServiceNow for incidents/requests.
• Proficiency with Nexthink or similar endpoint tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Customer-focused mindset for end-user support.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced deskside and remote support for Windows and Mac devices.
• Manage and support AV infrastructure and conference room tech.
• Deliver executive and VIP user support with white-glove service.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate tasks.
• Monitor end-user experience using Nexthink and optimize performance.
• Manage incidents, requests, and changes in ServiceNow.
• Administer Windows OS and endpoint technologies with security focus.
• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, VPN, Wi‑Fi, printers, and peripherals.
• Support OHP devices and IT asset management across locations.
• Maintain docs, perform audits, and collaborate with IT teams.
