Job summary

Houston Community College seeks an Executive Dean, Academic - Online College to provide strategic leadership for online program development, scheduling efficiency, and program compliance across the district. You will drive enrollment growth, oversee chairs and faculty, and ensure accreditation and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in an academic area appropriate to supervision of programs assigned required; Doctorate from an accredited institution preferred
• 7 years of experience in management of programs related to an academic setting with increasing levels of responsibility required to include 3 years of full-time teaching experience in higher education or 5 years of industry experience is required
• Community college experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in development and maintenance of state-of-the-art programs and scheduling across the district
• Lead engagement to grow programs and ensure accreditation and licensure status
• Create a well-functioning, collaborative instructional team across the college
• Ensure internal controls and financial reliability
• Manage Talent Engagement for recruitment, hiring, training, and performance evaluations
• Report on enrollments, seats, persistence, completion, and transfer metrics
• Market programs to the college community and public
• Foster professional development and implement learner-centered teaching strategies
• Collaborate to maintain articulation agreements and program goals
• Grow area programs district-wide and build partnerships with schools and four-year institutions
