Job summary

Houston Community College is seeking a Dean for the Center of Excellence in Architectural Design and Construction. The role provides executive leadership for program design, curriculum, and accreditation compliance across campuses.

You will align district strategies with THECB and SACS-COC standards, drive enrollment, and oversee faculty collaboration. Responsibilities include guiding faculty, Chairs, and staff, collaborating with the AVC and President, and ensuring internal controls, budgets,

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in an academic area appropriate to supervision of programs assigned; Doctorate preferred
• 6 years’ combined experience in management of programs with increasing levels of responsibility; 3 years teaching in higher education or 5 years in industry
• Grant management experience preferred
• Valid Texas Driver License

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Presidents, Deans and Directors to grow area programs district-wide and monitor enrollment
• Publicize and maintain articulation agreements to expand student opportunities
• Lead curriculum development and maintain course information for assigned programs
• Report on enrollment, hours, fill rates, persistence, completion, and placement to AVC and President
• Develop advisory boards and partnerships with industry to support program development
