Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking a Chief Information Security Officer to lead a mature, business-aligned information security program protecting clients, people, data, and operations. You will set strategy for the Information Security Management System, governance, risk management, incident response, data protection, and security awareness across global offices.

As a senior executive, you will partner with firm leadership, IT, AI governance, privacy, and procurement to enable innovation while ensuring risk

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive information security/cyber risk leadership experience, including executive responsibility.
• Experience leading cybersecurity strategy, governance, incident response, and risk management in a large, complex organization.

Responsibilities

• Sets and executes enterprise information security strategy aligned with firm goals and regulatory expectations.
• Leads the Information Security Management System and governance framework, including policy development and risk assessment.
• Acts as senior incident response leader for information security events, coordinating with GC, IT, vendors, regulators, and clients when required.
• Partners with executive leadership and global counterparts to embed security-by-design into operations and major transformation initiatives.
• Translates technical risk into business and legal terms to enable timely, informed decision-making by leadership.
• Oversees cyber risk identification, assessment, treatment, and reporting across vulnerabilities, threat intelligence, IAM, cloud security, and data protection.
