Job summary

MISO is seeking an accomplished enterprise strategist to synthesize risk, governance, and performance insights into the corporate plan. You will partner with Corporate Planning, evaluate tensions and dependencies, and influence senior leaders to shape strategic direction.

The role emphasizes executive storytelling and cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic energy landscape. Ideal candidates have extensive experience advising leadership, navigating ambiguity, and translating complex data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 12–14+ years of experience in enterprise strategy, risk, analytics, or related disciplines.
• Demonstrated experience advising senior leaders and leading cross-functional work through influence.
• Ability to synthesize ERM, governance, competitive intelligence, and performance management into executive insights.
• Strong analytical skills and comfort distinguishing signal from noise in complex information.
• Exceptional strategic storytelling and executive communication capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Incorporate cross-enterprise perspectives into implications for MISO’s corporate strategy.
• Partner with Corporate Planning to strengthen the enterprise plan.
• Assess the corporate plan to highlight gaps, dependencies, risks, and opportunities.
• Engage senior leaders as a credible thought partner and surface alternative viewpoints.
• Influence across boundaries while honoring accountability of owners and leaders.
• Translate complex information into concise diagnoses and executive narratives.
• Connect corporate priorities to enterprise risks, measures, and objectives.
• Refine enterprise planning lenses for better execution.
• Support executive and Board discussions with integrated assessments.
