Job summary

MISO is seeking an experienced enterprise strategy leader to help integrate risk, analytics and performance insights into the corporate plan. You will partner with Corporate Planning, diagnose gaps, surface strategic opportunities and present clear executive narratives for decision-makers.

The role demands 12-14+ years of experience, strong analytical and communication capabilities, and the ability to influence leaders without authority.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• 12-14+ years of experience in enterprise strategy, risk, analytics, or related disciplines.
• Advising senior leaders and leading cross-functional work through influence, not authority.
• Synthesize multiple enterprise processes into executive-level insights.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to distinguish signal from noise.
• Exceptional strategic storytelling and executive communication.
• Structured problem-solving, enterprise diagnosis, and scenario thinking.
• Ability to operate in ambiguity and frame enterprise-level questions clearly.
• Energy industry experience with relevant certifications (e.g., COSO, Prosci, Lean/Six Sigma) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Incorporate cross-enterprise perspectives into clear implications for MISO's corporate strategy.
• Partner with Corporate Planning to strengthen the enterprise plan.
• Assess the corporate plan to highlight gaps, tensions, dependencies, and risks.
• Engage senior leaders as a credible thought partner and surface alternatives.
• Influence across boundaries while respecting ownership and enterprise-process leads.
• Translate complex information into concise diagnoses, narratives, and strategic choices.
• Connect plan priorities to enterprise risks, metrics, value propositions, and objectives.
• Refine enterprise planning approaches with strategic lenses.
• Support executive and Board discussions with integrated assessments.
