Job summary

Shanty Creek Ski and Golf Resort is seeking a Chief Operating Officer / General Manager to lead four-season resort operations across lodging, ski, golf, F&B, events, and facilities with full P&L accountability.

Reporting to Ownership, the role focuses on strategic priorities, budgeting, guest satisfaction, and building a high-performing leadership team to drive sustainable growth in Northern Michigan.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in a complex resort/hospitality environment.
• Proven P&L responsibility with budgeting and forecasting.
• Ability to lead cross-functional executive and department teams.
• Experience with capital projects and reinvestment programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight of all resort operations across properties and BUs.
• Develop annual operating and capital budgets and financial plans.
• Drive guest experience, safety, and compliance across the resort.
• Lead succession planning and develop leadership talent.
