Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Morristown, NJ seeks a Catering & Conference Services Manager to drive catering events sales and service for booked group events. You’ll build strong client relationships, negotiate contracts, plan catering operations, and ensure service excellence from booking through post-event follow-up.

As a senior hospitality leader, you will coordinate with culinary, banqueting, and sales teams to maintain high standards, manage budgets, and generate repeat business in a luxury hotel

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of progressive experience in a luxury hotel or related field, or a 2-year college degree with 3+ years luxury hotel experience.
• Proficient in Windows; ability to use company-approved spreadsheets and word processing.
• Knowledge of F&B preparation techniques, dietary restrictions, health department rules and liquor laws.
• Flexible with long hours when required.
• Light physical effort and ability to lift/move items up to 20 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Manage existing accounts and follow up with client re-solicitation to capture future business.
• Identify potential new business, develop a sales strategy and solicit proposals.
• Meet or exceed all revenue goals.
• Coordinate and supervise event planning, catering operations and billing.
• Respond quickly to Meeting and Event Planner requests and inquiries.
• Coordinate with outside planners and vendors for event setup and requirements.
• Maintain pricing integrity and propose upscale menus and enhancements.
• Prepare and submit post-event reports and billing.
