Job summary

Cohere is building a governance-forward executive communications function to scale our voice with governments, enterprises, and partners. You will craft the strategy, manage content across stages, and lead a small team to deliver consistent messages from the C-suite.

You will partner closely with executives and functions to protect and advance Cohere’s reputation in a highly regulated, fast-growing tech space.

Qualifications

• 10–12 years of experience overseeing executive communications, ideally in-house and in fast-paced tech or AI environments.
• 3+ years of people management experience.
• Ability to provide fierce feedback to executives and implement it for better results.
• Proven track record in pre-IPO communications and policy/regulatory messaging.
• Exceptional writing and ability to distill complex topics into clear narratives.
• Experience acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and HR teams.
• Highly organized with strong project management and bias for action.

Responsibilities

• Refine and execute our executive communications strategy for key opportunities and stages.
• Develop corporate comms strategies aligned to goals, values, and brand across audiences.
• Drive content across speaking engagements, op-eds, podcasts, and executive social media.
• Build and manage a small team (speechwriter + external vendor).
• Develop rapid response capabilities for executives and oversee high-impact forums.
